Magazine design
Brief / Case
Create a magazine based on something you are passionate about.
Solution
Since the beginning, house music and dance have served as a sanctuary for individuals seeking a space of freedom, where everyone can coexist on equal terms regardless of sexual orientation or ethnicity—an arena for the unfettered expression of self. My aspiration was to create a magazine that not only pays tribute to this vibrant culture but also acknowledges its pioneers. The magazine takes you on a historical voyage, commencing in the late 1970s and following the evolution of house music up to the present day.
Throughout the magazine, I experimented with a diverse palette of colors to symbolize the culture's acceptance of diversity. I employed condensed and large typography, drawing inspiration from the house club posters of the late 1970s.
