Solution
After thorough research, we gained insights for our design process. A noticeable trend among the youth is the preparation of elaborate meals, often referred to as "foodie" dishes—finer recipes using high-quality ingredients, inspired by the influence of influencers and social media. Our research concluded that Italian and French cuisine is currently the most trending. Consequently, we aimed to create frozen meals that exude luxury and represent authentic gourmet food. All our frozen dishes are designed for multiple servings, aligning with the emerging trend of hosting meals at home, especially during the pandemic. Consumers only need to add the carbohydrate of their choice. The design draws inspiration from upscale packaging found in well-stocked specialty stores with products from Italy and France. Our goal is to stand out in the freezer aisle, opting for typography and illustrations instead of conventional food imagery on the packaging.
